| Sue with her aide and members of the military who helped pass HB-1013. |
|
| Supporting and Honoring Our Troops: HB-1013 exempts military service-members from having to pay registration, certification, licensing or continuing education fees for professional credientials while they are deployed and up to 6 months after their deployment ends. This relieves bureaucracy and administrative burdens for our men and women who have served and are currently serving our country abroad and who are already doing so much for us here at home.

| Governor Hickenlooper signes HB-1085 into law in honor of Pamela Sue Alger. |
|
| Ending the Retraumatization of Crime Victims HB-1085 eliminates a loophole that allowed violent offenders to repeatedly and unreasonably apply for admission to half-way houses, ragging their victims through repeated hearings and forcing them to constantly relive the crime. Drafting the bill brought together Corrections Officials, prosecutors, and victim’s advocates to ensure the concerns of criminals and their victims were properly addressed while curtailing a clear abuse of our justice system.

Reducing School Bullying: HB-1254 updates the definition of bullying to include electronic forms of bullying—an increasing trend—and creates a grant program schools can apply for to implement solutions to create healthy, safe and productive learning environments. This bill was developed in a bipartisan manner and enjoyed broad public support, as bullying is an issue nearly everyone has personal experience with.
